Project 52:28 Thimble Berries and Ferries

While in Washington, we were able to stay a few days with Uncle Matt and Aunt Katy.  The area where they live is so beautiful and the weather was fabulous.  A few blocks from where Matt and Katy live are thimble berry bushes.  I had never seen thimble berries but they look similar to raspberries yet are much more delicate.  The boys loved to pick them but I think they liked eating them even more.

We then drove up to Bellingham, WA which is the port for the Alaska Marine Highway.  Here we boarded the ferry and spent three nights traveling to Alaska.
