Unfortunately one of the hard parts about being in residency is that Nate is sent to different hospitals for a couple months throughout the year. For the months of July and August, Nate's going to be at Ft. Hood in central Texas. Thankfully, this weekend Nate was able to come home from central Texas for four days! It was a great break for him and we were happy to have him home. We made the most of the holiday weekend by doing lots of fun family things. And some firsts for Sammy: first 4th of July, first fireworks, and first swim in the pool. Whew, what a weekend. Sammy was so exhausted that by the end of the weekend, he actually fell asleep on his activity mat.

We're heading out tomorrow night (late! so Finlay sleeps!) to Lake Champion to spend a few days visiting the Dargenios.
